Remember two weeks ago when President Trump held a July 4th parade with tanks and a military flyover, and the mainstream press freaked out, comparing him to dictators like Kim Jong-un? Well, France held its annual Bastille Day parade today, featuring  military armored vehicles and aircraft, and wouldn’t you know, there were no comparisons between French President Emmanuel Macron with any dictator!

Who: French President Emmanuel Macron and the French citizenry.

What: Bastille Day is a National day of celebration in France marking a turning point in the French Revolution. In 2017 President Trump was the guest of honor and was so impressed by the Parade, he proposed a similar one for July 4th celebration in Washington, D.C.  The leftist American media however, who had no criticism of the Bastille Day Parade, compared Trump to Hitler and others for making this suggestion.

When: Sunday.

Where: Paris, France.

Why It Matters: There are two reasons why the parade was important.

First, it highlights the usual duplicity of the mainstream media.

Second, the European Intervention Initiative a 10-country joint military pact created last year to boost European security, participated in the event. The creation of the Initiative is interpreted as a response to President Trump’s insistence that Europe take more responsibility for its own security, and rely less on the United States. Apparently, the Europeans were listening, but the media, of course, ignored this development too.
