The CEO of Planned Parenthood, the foremost institute of baby murder in the United States, aborted its CEO Tuesday after only seven months on the job.

Who: Leana Wen

What: According to Wen, she and the Planned Parenthood Board could not agree on the path forward. Wen actually wanted to focus the organization on health care, but the Board wanted to stick to the organization’s bread and butter – murder.

“To all my colleagues at Planned Parenthood, the tens of thousands of dedicated people who are on the frontlines every day, providing life-saving, life-transforming care and fighting to protect access to that care: you are my heroes. Thank you for what you do,” she said on Twitter, attaching a statement.

The statement revealed more context about why the Board pushed Wen out (no pun intended).

“I came to Planned Parenthood to run a national health care organization and to advocate for the broad range of public health policies that affect our patients’ health: ensuring access to quality, affordable healthcare – which includes the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare – for all; imrpving maternal health, and the health of women before, during, and after pregnancy; increasing programs for cancer detection and STI/HIV treatment, and calling attention to the social determinants of health like food insecurity and housing instability that deeply affect people’s health and widen rampant disparities,” she said. “The new Board leadership has determined that the priority of Planned Parenthood moving forward is to double down on abortion rights advocacy.”

Why It Matters: Planned Parenthood is in for the fight of its life, as several states, including Georgia, Ohio, Missouri, Louisiana, Alabama, and Kentucky all implemented some form of pro-choice law banning abortions. Those laws are destined to be challenged in court, with the eventual goal for conservatives to have an abortion case heard by the Supreme Court, and have Roe v. Wade overturned, returning premeditated murder to its rightful place in the “illegal” column.
