VERITAS: Another Google Whistleblower Alleges Big Tech Bias in Interview With James O’Keefe

A senior software engineer at Google stepped out of the shadows for an interview with James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, in which he accused his employer of manipulating search results in favor of the political left.

Who: Greg Coppolla, a Google employee.

What: “I mean, overall, I’m very concerned to see big tech and the big media merge, basically, with a political party – uh, with the Democrat party,” Coppolla said.

He then went on to accuse the company of manipulating search results to favor Democrats, or those on the political left.

“I have a PhD,” Coppolla said. “I have five years experience at Google, and I just know how algorithms are. They don’t write themselves. We write them to do what we want them to do. I look at search, and I look at Google news, and I see what it’s doing, and I see Google executives go to Congress and say that it’s not manipulated. It’s not political. And I’m just so sure that’s not true.”

Why It Matters: Big Tech companies like Google have sworn up and down that they do not harbor an anti-conservative bias. But O’Keefe continues to expose Google for its bias. Just last month, a whistleblower came forward anonymously and spoke with O’Keefe about Google’s anti-conservatism. In the same story, a Google executive admitted that the company was working to avoid another “Trump situation” in 2020.
