Startling 78% of American Voters Believe Reporters Promote Political Agenda

A startling poll found that 78% of American voters think that reporters are promoting a political agenda when they report the news, according to Scott Rasmussen, head of Rasmussen polling.

“78% of voters say that what reporters do with political news is promote their agenda. They think they use incidents as props for their agenda rather than seeking accurately record what happened. Only 14% think that a journalist is actually reporting what happened,” Rasmussen told Sharyl Attkisson on her syndicated show “Full Measure.”

Rasmussen is known for being the most accurate pollster in the 2016 election cycle.

“If a reporter found out something that would hurt their favorite candidate, only 36% of voters think that they would report that,” he continued.

Effectively, that means that 64% of American voters believe that reporters are actively hiding information about politicians whom they prefer. We’ve known for a long time that the media are a horde of filthy liars. My book Enemies: The Press vs. The American Peopledetails that fact.

But to see it quantified thusly is still pretty Amazing.
