Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, who bills herself as a “conservative” but is consumed with anti-Trump hatred, called for violence against the GOP Sunday.
Rubin joined MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” hosted by far-left, anti-gay bigot Joy Reid, and said that the only way to defeat Trump in 2020 is to “collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party.”
The full quote is even more horrendous:
“It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose,” Rubin said. “We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them because if there are survivors, if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again. They will take this as confirmation that, ‘Hey, it just pays to ride the waves — look at me, I’ve made it through.'”
I’ve said this often, and once again it’s worth repeating. The political class hates you, and wants you dead. Some might give Rubin the benefit of the doubt by claiming that what she said was “just an expression.” But the pattern of our supposed moral betters threatening us with violence proves that the violence is a feature, not a bug of the political elite.
